Linseed Tea

What is it?

Linseed tea is the gelatinous substance created when linseeds are boiled in water. It is useful in order to address dehydration and for lubricating the colon

Why?

Many disease pictures develop from long term dehydration, which causes inflammation in joints, muscles, blood vessels and organs manifesting in a number of different conditions. In addressing dehydration increasing water intake alone will often have little effect save to increase the frequency of urination. In order to address dehydration effectively fluid of a more viscose nature is required which will hold longer in the colon from which point it can deliver the message of hydration throughout the body.

How?

1. Place two tablespoons of golden flax seeds into a large saucepan with 1 litre (2 pints) of water and bring to the boil. Turn of the heat and leave for 8 hours or overnight.

2. Bring back to the boil and simmer gently for 1 hour. Pass through a sieve to remove the seed.

3. Drink the resulting liquid throughout the day warm or at room temperature thinned if desired to a consistency that you are comfortable with drinking.

4. Repeat daily or as frequently as possible.

Keep refrigerated – Discard after three days if unused.
